Fantastic Journey
This year we have been thinking about some fantastic journeys and what we can learn from them.
About Jesus walking on water and how Peter tried but lost confidence in himself and God and began to sink. We challenged our selves to a Low Ropes Balance set up by one of our Scout Leaders Alun. The quote for the day was EPIC!!!!!
We thought about the story of Jonah who went on a grumpy journey because he didn’t do what God wanted him to do. Jonah ended up spending three days in a big fish’s belly! We thought about what we might need to go on a journey and did a treasure hunt through the woods around church.
St Paul went on lots of journeys with different friends, we heard about Paul being a tent maker so looked at one of the really old tent the scouts have (Thank you again Alun!) we practised hammering in tent pegs and dyed some cloth purple using hammers and flowers, because one of Paul’s friends was Lydia who sold purple cloth.
It has been good fun and because the weather has been good we’ve spent most of our time outside, we are so blessed with our Church grounds.
